2024 Wellington Golf Co. Gift Guide
Our first edition of the Wellington Golf Co. Gift guide last year was a huge hit. We received lots of feedback from you all about the unique items on the guide and heard that the gifts were all very well received by those you all were shopping for. For the 2024 Gift Guide, we feature some similar items from last year, as a reminder that sometimes a gift can can keep on giving year over year, like the Golfer’s Journal subscription, as well as some new items that we have had our eye on. Use the links below to shop our favorites this year!
First up on the list is a new edition of the J. Lowery X Byrdie Golf Social, Byrdie Bag. Last years list featured the Byrdie Bag in a cream colored cane leather. This year, a green croc pattern has been released that is quite stunning. The bag itself is extremely versatile as it can be used as a clutch, cross-body, or a belt bag. The bag is also made in the U.S. Perfect for carrying your phone, keys, sunglasses, gloss & touch ups, gum and AirPods for on and off the course. Also available in black and cognac. The size has been designed specifically in accordance with the PGA bag size regulations.
Inspired by the joy of taking Wellington to the course with us for a 9 hole walk, we created the “Just out for a walk” t-shirt. Crafted on a comfort colors pocket tee, this will soon be your favorite shirt in your rotation. Wear it during your practice sessions in the yard, to your local brewery on the weekend, or anywhere in between.
The Golfer’s Journal is a quarterly publication that goes way beyond surface level swing tips and advertisements. The high quality publication focuses on long form stories that captivate the reader and bring you to new places through the pages. Aside from the publication, The Golfer’s Journal also has an online membership portal where like minded golfers can chat, share their experiences, and plan their next golf trip. They also offer a premium members gift, and plan a whole calendar of world class golf events throughout the year, only accessible to members. This is a great gift to yourself or the golfer in your life.
Tom Coyne serves as the editor of The Golfer’s Journal and he has also published several books himself. When you’re not on the course, grab a copy of “A Course Called America: Fifty States, Five Thousand Fairways, and the Search for the Great American Golf Course” as Tom recounts his journey through the U.S. searching for the great American course. You can also find “A Course Called Ireland”, and “A Course Called Scotland” once you explore the fairways of America. If you can, check your local bookstore for a copy and support local this season!
There are flasks, and then there are flasks from Clayton & Crume. Based out of Louisville, KY, these folks know good bourbon. They were tired of good bourbon being ruined by a metallic taste from a cheap flask. They created a hardened glass flash that is wrapped in their signature leather for protection. Ensure your spirits taste the way they were intended and carry them wherever you need to go with this flask which will be sure to please anyone who receives it.
Wellington Golf Co. partnered with Smathers & Branson to create a handsome collection of needlepoint items. Featured on our gift guide is the valet tray, the leather koozie, as well as the needlepoint key fob. We have you covered from the office, to the tailgate, to the car. There are other items on our site as well from the collection that would make great gifts this Christmas season.
Sticking with the colors of the season, grab one of our WGC Trucker Hats in forest green! Perfect for those holiday bonfires or for wearing while hanging your Christmas lights, Clark Griswold style. Just be sure to check the breaker if you overdo the lights!
I was gifted a Front Pocket Wallet from Col. Littleton as a high school graduation present and have used it off and on ever since, in a rotation of wallets I use for different applications. Crafted from high quality full-grain American steerhide, carry all your essentials and leave the frills behind. Add a touch of personalization with initials embossed on the front.
Perfect for a home office, man cave, she shed or an accent piece in a bedroom, grab a print from Course Maps. They have a great selection of famous courses ready to ship. Course Maps also offers a great custom tool on their website so you could also order your home course if not already on the site. Course Maps is also a great Instagram follow as they offer a NYC Golf Guide where the owner and founder takes you along to subway to explore all the courses in and around the NYC area.
Sticking with the golf art theme, the team over at Golf Ball Gallery offers striking prints of golf balls in a unique scope. These are sure to standout on your walls and will be a topic of conversation. There is nothing wrong with traditional golf art, but there is something very cool about the way Golf Ball Gallery captures the history of golf through their offerings.
Another great gift not pictured is a lesson package from your local golf pro. Often times golf pros will offer a fifth lesson free if you buy a package of four lesson ahead of time. This will be an excellent way to help the golfer in your life sharpen their game in the off season.
Along the same lines as the lessons, a gift card to the pro shop of your local muni or country club is always a nice way to show that you appreciate someone special, and you understand their overly complicated preferences that only they will be able to satisfy. Wellington Golf Co. also offers gift cards to our online pro shop.
